Hello People! I finally received the offer letter for my new job with the federal government. There were at least 50 pages in the package! Now I know what people mean when they talk about 'red tape' and bureaucracy slowing down America.

At any rate, I'm glad to get the job and will fill out as much paperwork as they would like. I'll earn nearly 20% more than on my previous job (which I was laid off from) and there's a certain level of security in working for the government. Even the interviewer told me that this would probably be the last job I ever have! After being laid off twice in banking it's good to hear that there is some job security out there. Better yet, I just read in the New York Times that the agency I'll be working for is growing like crazy and will be for a very long time.

Keep me in your prayers as I enter a 3-4 month classroom style training program and two years as a 'trainee'. After that, the sky is the limit with how high I can go. God Bless America!

Life After Him...Well folks I'm back after a 5-month hiatus. You see just days after creating this blog I went to black gay pride in Minneapolis. I met this guy. We sort of hit it off and dated long distance for 5 months. My pride got in the way...literally. You see, I 'm not one of those closeted black gay men you read about in the New York Times or hear whispers about on the 'Wendy Williams Show'. I'm a proud, out, happy gay man. The guy I was dating was a pretender. He was small and afraid and most of all unworthy of a confident man such as myself.

peace until next time....strong
